Beautiful smooth porcelain with two-tone underglaze blue decoration (river) and silver (cranes), gold and enamels applied in a second firing at a much lower temperature or in a cold application technique.
Signed on bottom in gold over red: …aki. Reminiscent of some of the works of Fujii Shumei
Imari ware. Japan, Showa era, 1970s

Censer was used and has usage related dirt on the surface; silver of cranes tarnished (easily cleans up); all in all excellent condition
