Antique 1931 U.S. Gloritone Cathedral Model 99A Radio - Restored

Description

Manufactured by the U.S. Radio and Television Corporation, here is a beautiful cathedral radio with great sound!
Notice the matched walnut burl front panel, and original globe tubes (not all are globe, however). The knobs appear original, but I can find no reference to what the original knobs looked like.
As with all my radios, the chassis has been completely gone through. The tuner was removed, cleaned, and re-lubricated. All capacitors (except a few Mica) have been replaced, as well as all out-of-tolerance resistors, and all bad wiring. The tubes were checked, and any weak ones were replaced. The radio was then re-aligned to factory specifications, and receives stations all across the dial.
The cabinet was stripped down to the original patina, re-stained, and various shades of Mohawk toner were applied. It was then given 10 coats of nitro-cellulose lacquer, and finally, after 2 weeks of curing, it was hand-rubbed with natural beeswax.
The radio measures 15" wide, 9" deep, 16 1/2" tall, and weighs 20 lbs.

Everything will work, however, when I ship it, unless otherwise specified. But any future malfunctions or failures are beyond my control.
