  • Object Type: Clocks
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Condition: Look at the many images. Clock-face is beautiful. Clock lights up well/pull-string works. The clock is very slow to start and loses about 1 hour in a 4 hour period. Hands do not scrape. The coil inside the motor is likely partially bad is what a local clock expert opined. Replacing it may get the clock to keep good time. The "key" to manually adjust the time does not work. I replaced the starter on the clock. It really is for the light but the clock expert told me that it is also used by the motor. You can set the time by removing the plastic cover though. There is also a company that carries the entire movement and motor too I think. The plastic cover has some "scuff marks," (see 11th and 12th image) but no cracks. The case in general looks in pretty good shape as well. Some minor scrapes on the back. Overall, from a cosmetics perspective the clock looks pretty nice. This will make a great game-room clock for instance and I thought I would keep this item for myself at first.

    Description

O'Doul's Non Alcoholic Advertising Beer 14" Light Up Clock 1991 Anheuser Busch.  It is approximately 14" across and 4" in depth.
Look at the many images.   I have striven to describe this Light Up Clock as accurately as possible and the many pictures will give you
a very good handle on the
the way this item looks like.
Clock-face is beautiful. Clock lights up well and the pull-string works.  The clock is very slow to start and loses about 1 hour in a 4 hour period.
Hands do not scrape (look at the 3rd image) at all. The coil inside the motor (made by LANSHIRE and is the XL7 type) is likely partially defective
according to a local antique clock expert.
    Replacing
it may get the clock to
    keep good time.
The "key" to manually adjust the time does not work.
I replaced the starter on the clock. It really is for
    the light but the
clock expert told me that it is also used
by the motor. If you want, you can set
    the time
by removing the plastic cover though. There is also a company
that carries the entire movement and motor too I think based on an internet
search I did a few days ago and I considered restoring this
    item to its original condition.
The plastic cover has some "scuff marks," (see 11th and 12th image) but no cracks.  The case in general looks in pretty good shape as well.
Some minor scrapes on the back.
Overall, from a cosmetics perspective the clock looks pretty nice.  This will make a great game-room clock for instance and I thought I would keep
this item for myself at first.
