Description
This photo is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy new photo reproduction of a 1966-1967 MACK MODEL FL/FS Road Tractor operated by ALLIED VAN LINES pulling a Moving Van Semi-Trailer.”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image.
DESCRIPTION: Perhaps this sharp looking FL/FS SERIES MACK was brand new before it was put in service. The trailer was operated by Springer Corporation, Albuquerque, NM, and is parked in front of an office with the signage “BENTON - ALLIED 1”. My original photo is a Mack factory photo, and has a narrow white border around all 4-sides.
HISTORY OF ALLIED VAN LINES: Founded in 1928 as a cooperative non-profit organization owned by its member agents on the east coast, to help them organize return loads. In 1968 it was reorganized as a standard public company. In 1999 it merged with its larger competitor, North American Van Lines, and the combined entity then came under the holding company Allied Worldwide. In 2002, Allied Worldwide was renamed SIRVA, Inc., which went public the following year, as the world’s largest relocation and van line logistics company.
HISTORY OF THE MACK FL/FS MODELS: The MACK FL-700 SERIES of West Coast models was first produced in 1966, the first year for Mack’s new Hayward, CA plant. Using the standard F Series cab, aluminum was used extensively in various chassis parts. In 1967 the FS model series was introduced in Hayward, with steel side rails. From 1966-1974 over 10,600 FL/FS models were produced.
CONDITION: This outstanding black & white glossy photo is a newly reproduced photo from a vintage photo in my personal lifetime collection. This photo has been printed on excellent quality HP PREMIUM PLUS GLOSSY PHPTP PAPER using HP 02 Vivera Inks, producing a professional quality photo that resists fading over 100 years ... the best money can buy. This 8x10 photo has a white border around the photo.
