    Description

This photo is a quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy new photo reproduction of an early 1950s MACK A51T Series Tandem-Axle Diesel leased to KNES TRUCK LINE pulling a Tarp Covered Open-Top Semi-Trailer. I believe the Mack is carrying a 1954 Missouri license plate, but can not be sure.
Note: This photo is not a clear and sharp as most of my photos, so is being listed at a slightly reduced price of .99.
”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image.
DESCRIPTION: I believe that this A Series Mack is an A-51T Diesel, designed for medium duty work such as interlining with other carriers.
MACK A SERIES: The A Series trucks along with the new gasoline Magnadyne engines were introduced in mid-1950 to help commemorate Mack’s “50 years as a builder of commercial motor vehicles.” The new Golden Anniversary A model truck, as they were fittingly called were the A20, A30, A40, and A50. Mack introduced additional A Series models in 1951 and 1952: the A51T Diesel and the A54T gasoline powered comparatively light weight tractor models. Some 2,575 A51’s were produced until 1953. The A Series still used the aging E Model cabs and fenders, but had its ‘big brother’ L Model radiator shell for a more modern and rugged look.
