1940 WHITE TRUCKS MODEL 600-700 'COCA-COLA' BOTTLE DELIVERY TRUCK 8x10 B&W Photo

Description

This photo is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy new photo reproduction of a COCA-COLA 1940 WHITE MODEL 600-700 Delivery Truck. Two uniformed Coca-Cola delivery men unload full 24-glass bottle wooden cases from the truck bearing California 1940 license plates.

DESCRIPTION: WHITE trucks had undergone a total restyling for their 1936-38 models, modernized with smart streamline styling popular at that time, inspired by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, an industrial stylist. In 1939 into 1941 White further improved their Model 600-700 trucks with a ‘floating ride cab’ and ‘super-power’ 6-cylinder gasoline engines. In 1941 the restyled “WA” Series, and the following WB and WC Series design would last through 1953. Note the very small rear view mirrow mounted only on the driver’s door, so common at that time, along with the ‘semaphore’ turn signal mounted on the body behind the driver’s door, which was manually activated by pulling a cable inside the cab ... no electronics here!
COCA-COLA was introduced around 1886 as a patent medicine, later bought out by businessman Asa Candler , whose marketing tactics led Coke to it dominance of the world soft drink market throughout the 20th century. By many accounts, Coca-Cola is the world’s most valuable brand.
CONDITION: This outstanding black & white glossy photo is a newly reproduced vintage photo from a vintage photo in my personal lifetime collection.  This photo has been printed on excellent quality HP PREMIUM PLUS GLOSSY PHOTO PAPER using HP 02 Vivera Inks, producing a professional quality photo that resists fading over 100 years ... the best money can buy.  This 8x10 photo has a white border around the photo.
