  • Condition: Vintage. Box is torn, missing some edges, and font is faded. It has "scribbles" inside. The pencil isn't working, or maybe it doesn't have lead. The graphics on the pencil are slightly faded, but still in good condition for the age. No breaks in the pencil. See item description and pics for more details.

    1939-1940, Souvenir of New York World's Fair, Eagle Pencil Co, Jumbo Mechanical Pencil with original box
    The pencil feels like it is made of wood; it is a textured gold paint with a blue and pink graphic of a man on the Trylon and Woman on the Perisphere; "New York World's Fair" and "NYWF Eagle Pencil Co" are also stenciled on the pencil
    The top of the pencil is metal with an eraser at the end; the bottom has a metal tip.
    The blue box has "Souvenir of New York World's Fair" and the Trylon and Perisphere graphic in gold on the front.  It still has an original price tag.
    The pencil doesn't turn, and I don't see any lead.
    The graphic has some fade, but is still in good condition and legible.
    The eraser is dirty and has been used.
    The box is torn, with missing edges; the gold writing is faded, almost to the point of being illegible in places.
    Someone has "scribbled" inside of the box.
