Description
This photo is a very good 8” x 10” black & white glossy new photo reproduction of a COCA-COLA 1937-38 WHITE Series 730 COE Delivery Truck. A uniformed Coca-Cola delivery man is unloading full 24-glass bottle wooden cases from the truck. This photo is not as sharply focused as most of my photos, but is still a very nice representation of an early White produced Coca-Cola Delivery Truck. I have reduced the price to .99.
”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image.
DESCRIPTION: WHITE trucks underwent a total restyling for their 1936-38 models, modernized with smart streamline styling popular at that time. In 1937 White introduced their new Cab-Over-Engine/C.O.E. models in the 700 and 800 Series. The grille on the COE’s was modified in 1939, indicating that the truck in this photo was a 1937-1938 model. This particular truck had very early cowl mounted electric turn signals, along with rear wheel skirts to complement the new ‘streamlined’ styling by Alexis de Sakhnoffsky. This truck was most likely a lighter duty Series 730 powered by the improved 270-cid 6-cylinder 81-hp White gasoline engine.
COCA-COLA was introduced around 1886 as a patent medicine, later bought out by businessman Asa Candler , whose marketing tactics led Coke to it dominance of the world soft drink market throughout the 20th century. By many accounts, Coca-Cola is the world’s most valuable brand.
