Description

This is a very nice collector plate featuring Railroads around Harper's Ferry, West Virginia.  Plate is beautiful in style and color of flow blue.  Measures 9 inches across and in excellent  condition.   On the front, around the edge are pictures of trains including Winans Camel 1851, Mogul 600 1875, The Lord Baltimore 1925, Horse Drawn Car 1830, The Tom Thumb 1830, The Atlantic 1832, The Philip E. Thomas, 1838, and First Stone of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, laid July 4, 1828.  On the back it reads 1827-1927. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company.  Charter granted Feb. 28, 1827.  First stone laid July 4, 1828.  Reached Ellicotts Mills May 22, 1830.  Reached Washington Aug. 25, 1835.  Reached Wheeling Dec. 25. 1852.  First train to St. Louis in 1857.  First train to Chicago in 1874
